Sentinel Daily favourites Venom Inc have announced that they have had to pull out of their upcoming tour of Australia with Raven and Girlschool.

Bassist/vocalist Tony Dolan explains: “Due to health reasons, unfortunately we are prevented from doing any extended touring dates after Japan. We apologise to our Australian fans, but my great friends Tank will be taking our place to kick major Aussie Ass and the shows will be killer. Venom Inc will return…”

You read that right – Tank are heading down under!

The band, now fronted by Pendulum of Fortune alumnus David Readman, have stepped in at the last minute and will be a fine addition to the already stellar NWoBHM bill. On the tour they’ll be playing cuts from their recently-released Re-Ignition album, which featured Tank classics re-imagined by the current lineup, which alongside Readman features long term Tank guitarists Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans as well as bassist Randy Van Der Elson and former Sodom drummer Bobby Schottkowski.

As if all of this wasn’t enough to digest, Girlschool have announced plans for an extra date in Adelaide at The Enigma on June the thirtieth!

But wait – there’s more…

Raven have added a second Sydney show to their workload as well, at Frankie’s (also on June 30th) before they too head south for a show in Adelaide at the Enigma on July first!
