Sydney’s dark symphonic metal powerhouse Carmeria are a force like no other! Embracing the gothic orchestral edge of music that so few dare to venture to, the Australian metal visionaries take on the international heavy music scene with soaring vocals, powerful guitars, and orchestrations on a world-class level. Despite global circumstances halting the growth of many bands, Carmeria are here to prove otherwise with the recent release of their new single To Lead The Blind from the band’s upcoming debut album Advenae.

To Lead The Blind kicks in full force with savagely powerful riffs and hook-laden synth sitting atop double-timed bass and drums, showcasing a band that is bold and confident in their unique signature sound. Through the entirety of the track the instrumentation oscillates between ferocious riffs, curating inevitable tension and providing a colourful soundscape for Jordan’s dynamic vocals.

Frontman Jordan Von Grae explains: ‘To Lead the Blind was the final track we wrote for the album, and it became apparent early on in the process that we were going to select it as one of the singles. Sonically, this drew a lot of inspiration from our power metal influences and allowed Jerry (guitarist) and I to explore new territory as songwriters. We feel this track and the two previous singles (Morningstar and Celestia) perfectly encapsulate the essence of this album and paint a fairly good picture of what you can expect from this record. That said, we still have some surprises left in the vault’

Returning to the fold with a bombastic new line-up and coming off their globally recognised singles, Morningstar and Celestia, Carmeria are showing no signs of slowing down after signing with Destroy All Lines Agency for bookings in Australia and New Zealand and a worldwide management deal with Australia’s premier alternative artist management agency Hard Drive Agency. After a successful release of To Lead the Blind from the band’s highly anticipated album Advenae due for release on May 14th, 2021, Carmeria are set to make a mark on the Australian heavy music world and beyond!
