David Lioncourt is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from California’s Central Valley. He’s most known for his role as the creative director and songwriter for the band Lioncourt, a hard rock act inspired by the Victorian-Gothic aesthetic and supernatural themes. Throughout his tenure with Lioncourt, the group has amassed close to a half-million streams from a series of self-produced singles released over three years. Now he’s back and taking on a new solo single, The American Scream., a song that was written during the height of the pandemic and influenced by the sights and sounds of a time none of us will soon forget.

David Lioncourt on The American Scream: “This song was the culmination of my frustration with politicians throughout the pandemic. Being from California, what I saw was grotesque and it left me with just white hot heat. One day I grabbed my guitar and this song poured out of me. It was cathartic. It was medicating. I felt like I had purged a demon that was haunting me. The song essentially wrote itself. I was just the medium.”

There is going to be a lot of noise coming out of this guy as a solo artist, with many big plans on the horizon. Not only did The American Scream drop to the masses, Lioncourt took another step to further his solo career by inking a deal with Pittsburgh, PA. based RFL Records, a union that has been a few years in the making.

Lioncourt Explains: “I am absolutely excited and grateful to be part of the RFL team! The relationship goes back about three years and now seemed like a great time to combine efforts and take this international! I am Incredibly excited for all things to come with RFL!”

Adds RFL CEO Jon Marchewka: “We have been fans of David Lioncourt since we first heard him perform in Lioncourt almost three years ago. Doug Franklin, our VP Of Operations, sent me some stuff by Lioncourt and one was a song called Porcelain Bones; that is now a favourite of mine and that is how the courtship began to get David signed. We knew how amazingly talented this guy was and to have him here is very exciting. Everything that he does is pure gold and I am looking forward to hearing what he has coming next”.

Franklin takes up the story: “July 2019, the Whisky; that’s where this all started, seeing David play live with his band Lioncourt. I was hooked, immediately, on his modern take on the rock from my era. It’s great to now have the opportunity to work with him and to bring his music and message to the World! This does NOT suck!”

SamBone – RFL Records Head Of PR, reiterates: “My friend and colleague Doug Franklin at RFL turned me on to a band called Lioncourt one day through social media. Not even one verse into the first video, Kiss To Kill, and I was hooked. I knew that we needed to sign this guy and I personally think we can be an unstoppable team in the rock music world.”

David Lioncourt is currently working on the performance video for The American Scream and more new material which will comprise of some high-octane singles that will lead up to a full-length album in 2023. It’s going to be an exciting future for an artist who has a pure passion to succeed and deliver quality music to the world.
