Reigning queen of metal, Doro Pesch (I thought Lee Aaron was the metal queen? -confused Ed), will return to the US next week for short run of live dates following on from an appearance on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise East which set sail from Miami, Florida yesterday (February 22nd). From there, Doro and her bandmates will make their way through seven venues, the trek coming to a close in Queens, New York at Blackthorn 51 March 6th. Additionally, Doro will make an in-store meet-and-greet appearance at Rock Fantasy Records prior to her performance at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, New York on March 5th.
Says Doro of the upcoming dates: “I’m so excited to start the New Year with some tour dates in the states! I can’t wait to see all the loyal fans again and many new faces. I’m so happy and honoured to be part of the Monsters Of Rock cruise as well! We’ll play all our highlights as well as the best songs of the Warlock era. You can expect a full metal, high-energy, amazing show with lots of heart, soul and true metal power!”
In related news, Doro will be honoured with the Metal Goddess Award at this year’s edition of the Vegas Rocks! Hair Metal Awards this coming May at the Eastside Cannery Casino Hotel in Las Vegas.

Doro’s latest stretch of live dates continues a worldwide trek marking more than thirty years since the release of her first record – Warlock’s Burning The Witches. The metal maven will be performing songs from her entire catalogue including most recent release, Raise Your Fist, and subsequent Powerful Passionate Favorites bonus CD (released as part of the Raise Your Fist – 30 Years Anniversary Edition) comprised of cover versions of Dio, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, and Kiss songs as well as many Warlock favourites.
