Plush is a new hard rock band with a mission to bring rock back to the forefront of the music industry. Plush is composed of four talented women, all under twenty one, whose accomplishments and talent eclipse their age. This female rock force is fronted by singer, songwriter and guitarist Moriah Formica. Drummer Brooke Colucci, guitarist Bella Perron and bassist Ashley Suppa round out the lineup.
Moriah skyrocketed to national recognition when she auditioned for American TV channel NBC’s The Voice at sixteen. She became one of the youngest competitors in the show’s history to turn all four judge’s chairs and the only NBC’s The Voice contestant to get all four chairs performing a rock-based song. Her performance of Heart’s Crazy on You garnered viral fame and saw the four foot eleven inch star lauded as a ‘pint-sized powerhouse’ by judge and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine. Miley Cyrus referred to her as a ‘Rock Goddess’.
Drumming sensation Brooke Colucci, known by her moniker Rock Angel, has several viral videos of her own as well, generating over fourteen million views.
Lead guitarist Bella Perron is a freshman at Berklee College of Music and a guitar virtuoso. Bella adds to the band’s ferocious melodies with amazing backing vocals and a no holds barred brand of uncompromising rock.
Bassist Ashley Suppa, hailed in some quarters as the “female version of Cliff Burton”, adds an undeniable bass undertow that must be seen as well as heard to be believed.
Plush’s self-titled debut album is slated for release on the 29th October, 2021, via Pavement Entertainment. The album was produced by Johnny K (Staind, 3 Doors Down, Disturbed) and features thirteen tracks. The Band recently released their second single, Athena, a jaw-dropping song that’s electrified audiences at live performances. Athena follows Plush’s first single, Hate, which climbed to number twenty four on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart.

And talking of live dates, our man in the States, Hideous Destructor, has already seen the girls live, at their performance at this year’s Rocklahoma! Festival. He had this to say about Plush… “Whilst their recorded output is a bit, well, plush for my tastes, being a very airbrushed take on late nineties post-grunge US Radio rock, live the quartet makes much more sense, They rage! Their own songs take on a new lease of life when unshackled by the confines of the studio and a ‘big name’ producer, and the band’s take on Heart’s Barracuda is, in all honesty, the best I have ever heard when not being sung by Ann Wilson!”
Let’s see if ol’ Hideous isn’t gilding the lily a bit with his praise…
My word – he speaks the truth!
