Norwegian black metal masters Satyricon have postponed their Australian and Japanese tour dates until September citing personnel reasons.

Frontman Satyr says that due to personnel issues and logistics they have no choice but to delay the tour: “We had on and off-stage personnel dropping out on us at the last minute for this tour. We would have had to really compromise on the quality of our shows, which is something that we wouldn’t want to do when we go to Australia and Japan. It’s better for us to postpone and come back and do this properly. “

Adds Satyr “Back in the day, Australia was one of the first countries where people were showing a great deal of interest in what we were doing on the other side of earth, in Norway. With Now, Diabolical we finally got to experience Australia ourselves, and ever since it has been of our favourite places to come to visit. Our fans there get what we do and they usually show up in great numbers”.

With the tour now slated for a September run, the revised dates are:

Tuesday, September 4: Capitol, Perth
Thursday, September 6: Max Watts, Melbourne
Friday, September 7: Metro Theatre, Sydney
Saturday. September 8: Transit Bar, Canberra
Sunday, September 9: The Triffid, Brisbane

ALL TICKETS FOR ALL APRIL SHOWS ARE VALID FOR THE SEPTEMBER DATES!
