In the latest in our Sentinel Daily Recommends series we’re delighted to introduce you to French Sleaze rockers Blackrain!

The band, formed in 2006 in the Haute Savoie region of France, grew up with the sounds of such august names as W.A.S.P., Guns N ‘Roses, Skid Row, Ratt and Mötley Crüe – definitely all names that spring to mind when you see and hear their new clip Hellfire…

However, not content with being just ‘wannabes’, the band took the bull by the horns in the early part of this decade and went all-in to follow their rock n’roll dream, in the process working with legendary hard rock producer Jack Douglas in 2012 with predictably splendid results…

The band also finished in a creditable sixth place in National TV talent show France’s Got Talent, an amazing performance in a country where hard rock and heavy metal still dwells very much on the fringes of mainstream acceptance…

Fast forward to 2019 and the boys are back in town again, with this new clip the trailblazer for a soon-come new album, Dying Breed (set for release through SPV/Stamhammer in September) and some extensive Euro road work with chums Kissin’ Dynamite on the following dates:
