Next Saturday, February 10th,the Bass Bar of  The Home Tavern in Wagga Wagga will play host to the inaugural Stormcrow Metal Meeting.

The show, which will feature a headline set from Victorians Trigger – who took out the sought-after ‘album of the month’ gong last July in our own Crusade of Power column, in the process being described by Sentinel Daily scribe Ferry Templeton as sounding like ‘real contenders’- is described by promoter Nat Harmer  of Naticus Music as part of a wider ambition to “revitalise Wagga as a metal hub and celebrate it’s long-established metal scene by bringing more events and gatherings to the forefront”.

Trigger will be supported by sets from Enfiled, Odysseus Reborn and Stone Sovereign.

Harmer, who himself boasts something of a metal pedigree with stints as a session man and (simultaneously) nine different bands,  adds more on his plan to re-animate the Wagga scene: “Along with a series of metal meet-ups similar to those hosted in Sydney by Metal Evilution, we’re hoping to create a new foundation to help new bands, promoters and events emerge. We’ve founded Team Terra Extremis – a group of promoters & musicians (mostly both, numbering around twenty people) around Australia who are dedicated to creating a metal touring route through regional and metropolitan Australia”.

Doors open at The Home Tavern at six PM, with live interviews with the artists being promised as well as a Merch desk and, of course – free stuff set aside for giveaways!

Tickets will be available on the door priced $15 – get involved and help set Stormcrow on the road to being part of a new tradition in country NSW…
