The Amenta is ugly, dissonant, electronically-lacerated extreme metal. Their fourth album Revelator, released in February of this year and described in review by Sentinel Daily‘s Scott Adams as containing ‘a wealth of sonic jewels awaiting your amazement and appreciation’, highlights on all layers the pounding energy and fanatic will of the band to develop and to create art which does not accept any borders. After a seven year hibernation, The Amenta are poised to reinstate themselves as Australia’s most intense live ritual performers with a ferocious attack of sensory overload, savage discord and unease.

With long-time bass player, Dan Quinlan, now situated in California, Sam Bean (The Berzerker, Werewolves, Antichrist Imperium, The Senseless) has stepped in to flesh out The Amenta live lineup on bass and backing vocals. David Haley, forced to sit out the band’s recent Dark Mofo show thanks to border closures, is back in the drum stool for the upcoming shows. The Amenta would like to thank Robin Stone for his performance, help, and hard work at Dark Mofo.

Coming along for the ride are Perth blackened death metal machine, Earth Rot. With an old-school undercurrent and a sense of grim relentless groove. It is hateful, harmful, sinister and melancholy noise, shaped by the world around you. Their latest offering, Black Tides of Obscurity released in 2020, has yet to be explored in the live realm and now the time has arrived for Earth Rot to reveal the darkness in front of you.
