Power metal legends Wings of Destiny – who this time last year were sitting at number three on the Sentinel Daily Top Thirty Album Chart with their excellent Memento Mori album – are proud to release their new single, Never Surrender, via Wormholedeath worldwide.
The song was written initially by Marco Garau (Magic Opera, Derdian) as a piano piece for his solo album. He gave this theme to WoD’s Anton Darusso to see what he could come up with (lyric-wise and arrangement-wise). Applying the WoD style to the piano instrumental, it turned into a power/symphonic melodic metal piece and by adding blasting solos by David Shankle in a classical old school manner it even transformed more into a heavy tune.
Never Surrender is about the life of an inspiring musician, artist, or novelist who is dedicating his life to creating fantasy stories & music and even though life is challenging and can be very hard at times this artist never surrenders and keep going strong. One more positive melodic metal song by the band in such a unique style, one more anthem for the fans to sing.
